Introduction
The Proteomics Core Laboratory provides routine services including two-dimensional gel electrophoresis, image data analysis, In-gel digestion, fluorescence scanner and training course of proteomic techniques. The core lab also provides basic equipment for researcher.
Experimental Items
Two-dimensional gel electrophoresis (IPGphor 3, SE600):
2-DE system is a powerful and widely used method for the analysis of complex protein mixtures extracted from cells, tissues or other biological samples. It sorts proteins according to their isoelectric points and molecular weight.
Image data analysis (ImageMaster Platinum software version 5.0):
The software offers a flexible interface for the comprehensive visualization, exploration, and analysis of 2-D gel data.
In-gel digestion:
The protein in gel is digested by trypsin and the tryptic peptides are extracted from gel and identified by mass spectrometry.
Fluorescence scanner (Typhoon 9410):
Fluorescence Image scanner provides multicolor scanning and optimized detection of CyDye DIGE/CYPRO Ruby Fluor dye-labeled proteins. It also can detect storage phosphor autoradiography and chemiluminescence.
